The last week of January

Boy this has been an interesting week. First of all Alex has been sick. We have been fighting a runny nose along with a cough which has kept her out of daycare so either Steven or myself has had to stay home. Also with being sick Alex has been cranky and clingy which I just thought was part of her sickness but today I found out that she a new tooth which explains a lot.

Steven has also been sick but due to school obligations needed to be their. Steven is doing well in his classes and is glad that he finally is into his program and not having generals.

Shayla is doing good. Classes are going great especially due to the fact that some of the friends that I met last quarter are in all my classes and are big helps.

Our Journey to Church

Well today was a journey. It all started when walking to the car. I had to carry Alexandria out and right now Cheney has a lot of snow, some of which is ice. Anyway we slipped and fell on the ice. Alex got the best deal by landing on me but I was not so lucky. I feel straight on my behind. We finally got to the car and everyone was loaded so Steven started to back out but we got stuck. So Steven grabbed a shovel while I got behind the wheel. All of the sudden two men came around a corner and asked us if we needed help. It took us about 15 minutes to get the car unstuck and get going to church. We were about 25 minutes late to church only to realize that our ward has switched times and since we have been down in the Tri-Cities we had know idea what time church started. After that we just decided to go home and try again next week. Also when we arrived home the same two guys that helped us were trying to get another car out so my husband asked if they needed any help in which they did. As Alex and I were walking back to the apartment I put her down in order to unlock the door and she slipped and fell so I had to pick her up. So the rest of the day we decided just to stay inside so we can be safe. What a journey?

2008 in Review

What a year this has been. Steven and I last August moved to Cheney in order to attend school. Currently we are both students at Eastern Washington University. Being away from family is hard but we are enjoying our time together. In December Alexandria celebrated her 2nd birthday by having family come up to Cheney. It was a great time. Also during December we were able to take Alexandria on her first trip to Mount Hood. She had a wonderful time but we learned that she did not like to be out in the snow. Every time we put her down in the snow she cried. During Christmas we were able to spend time in the Tri-Cities which was great because we were missing family. Here we are looking forward to the New Year and what it has in store for us.
